Brinc, The Chennai Angels launch new accelerator for Indian startups

Global accelerator Brinc and angel investor network The Chennai Angels (TCA) are launching an online accelerator program for agritech, foodtech, healthtech, and fintech startups in India.

Called TechBlazers, the three-month intensive program will provide startups with a minimum investment of US$50,000. Participants will also get the opportunity to acquire additional funding based on their performance in the program and their initial traction.

In addition, Brinc and TCA will connect the startups with other investors and provide support for product development. The startup enablers will also hold group and individual training sessions for the accelerator’s participants on topics like technical feasibility, financial viability, and market desirability.

Applications for TechBlazers are open until September 27.

“The goal is to help startups grow their businesses and get investment opportunities within a year by intensively introducing the startup teams to Brinc and TCA’s global ecosystem partners and investor network,” the companies wrote in their joint statement.

Based in Hong Kong, Brinc runs 12 programs in six locations worldwide, partnering with global governments, corporations, investors, and startup graduates to help companies in the pre-seed to series A stages grow. Meanwhile, TCA is one of India’s leading angel networks, with the group investing almost US$15 million in over 60 startups so far.
