Booster Pack’s first game – and the first James Cameron’s Avatar game in five years – is a runner. The mobile game Avatar: Warrior’s Journey lets you take on the role of a male or female Na’vi and run through different maps to achieve goals.
To be fair, the freemium Avatar: Warrior’s Journey is a bit more than just a runner. Character equipment is reflected on your avatar when worn, and it upgrades automatically as you gain more experience. Players can venture into different maps based off the lush world of Pandora, and see Na’vi culture once again. Fancy a bonus stage where you visit Eywa? You’ve got it. An App Store screenshot also shows a Na’vi character riding a direhorse, confirming that mounts will indeed be part of the game. Unlike other running games, motions in Warrior’s Journey are currently limited to just jumping.

Booster Pack CEO Kent Byers says that the team has no estimated time for a global release right now, and that the studio won’t be “rushing it” either. It’s only available in Singapore at the moment. “We have a lot of testing we want to do right now with the current game and there is a bucket list of features we would like to explore that would need proper testing.”
Byers adds that the game will be launched in additional markets as these features get implemented. He can’t detail any of these addition as none are confirmed yet. “The current game is essentially the core experience right now [and] we will be using [the] soft launch to iterate on that experience and slowly add new features on top of it.”
AVATAR: Warrior’s Journey is available in the iOS App Store in Singapore now. Booster Pack studio is based in the Games Solution Centre.
