Boomzap Entertainment is well known for its hidden object games; however, its latest title seems to indicate that the company may be branching out a bit.
The Quest, Boomzap’s latest iOS exclusive, is an action game that uses a collectible card game-style tile-flipping combat system and is a new take on the turn-based RPG. The game revolves around a set of adventurers that includes: a Paladin, a Valkyrie, and a Mage in a fantasy world setting where you face monsters such as skeletons and kobolds. The game also has an in-depth crafting system that you can use to create weapons and equipment for your heroes.
It seems that the game will rely heavily on the flip board system that you can see in the screenshot below. According to Boomzap, you can also collect and manage special board tokens for your heroes that will be useful as you battle through monsters.
Boomzap has yet to comment on the game’s release date or even how far along in development it is. So we’ll keep you guys updated as soon as we get more info.
