We previously posted an infographic featuring the “Top 10 Bollywood Actors on Twitter.” The folks at Simplify360 also sent us the female version. From what it looks, the top Bollywood actress on Twitter, Priyanka Chopra (940,000), has more followers than Shah Rukh Khan (850,000).
But that doesn’t necessary mean she is the most popular Bollywood celebrity in India. I got curious and did a simple research using Google Trend. Turned out, Priyanka Chopra generates far more searches on Google than Shah Rukh Khan in India. Surprisingly, second place Deepika Padukone who tweeted only 400 times has overtaken Chopra in Google queries. Could a lack of tweets on Twitter trigger fans to Google stalk a Bollywood celebrity?
