B Capital, a global investment company, closed its first healthcare fund at over US$500 million.
This becomes the latest initiative in healthcare for the VC firm, whose portfolio in the sector includes more than 20 companies in Asia, Europe, and the US.
Robert Mittendorff, who joined the company in April 2021, is set to lead the fund.
The Singapore- and New York-headquartered firm closed its Growth Fund III at approximately US$2.1 billion in January this year – boosting the total assets under management to around US$6.3 billion.
B Capital Group was formed in 2015 by Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin and Raj Ganguly, who also serves as senior adviser at the Boston Consulting Group.
