Binance is launching in Indonesia, starting with its education platform Binance Academy. The potential for cryptocurrency adoption and appetite for blockchain-related knowledge are burgeoning in the country, with the number of crypto holders estimated to rival that of stockholders locally.

Binance will introduce educational content in Bahasa Indonesia via its Academy platform. As a start, it has implemented Google Accelerated Mobile Pages to deliver a mobile-first experience and address Indonesia’s large mobile population and low connection speeds.
“Binance Academy’s expansion to offer Bahasa Indonesia content reaffirms [our] strong commitment to advancing crypto education through quality, unbiased knowledge-sharing that is freely accessible to all,” says Ted Lin, head of growth at Binance.
The company announced plans to foray into Southeast Asia in 2018. It recorded a profit of US$446 million the same year.
