ESL Asia to host Activision’s Call of Duty: Ghosts Asian Winter Championship

Asia’s fast becoming a force to be reckoned with in the world – be it in eSports or financial markets – and Activision has recognized that with its Call of Duty: Ghosts Asian Winter Championship.

ESL Asia will be hosting four country qualifiers for South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong starting December 14, 2013. Only the top two four-men teams from each country will qualify from the grueling, week-long playoffs, and these teams will duke it out the day after the qualifiers end to find out who the ultimate champion is.

Activision boasts of attractive prizes, but thus far has not announced what these prizes actually are. We’ve reached out to the company and will update when we learn more about the prize pool.

Still, Activision’s a big company with big coffers, and if you’ve got time to spare — and a team — in December, the online-only tournament could be well worth your while.
