Baskit, an Indonesia-based B2B ecommerce company, has extended its seed round with a US$500,000 injection from Korea Investment Partners (KIP), co-founder and CEO Yann Schuermans confirmed to Tech in Asia.
This brings its total seed funding to US$3.8 million – it previously raised US$3.3 million in June. Schuermans added that as KIP is a multi-stage investor, Baskit expects it to join future fundraising rounds.
Funding details
- Funding amount: $500,000
- Investor: Korea Investment Partners (KIP)
- Stage: Seed extension
While Baskit currently operates largely in the West Java region, it plans to expand into Greater Jakarta with the fresh funds. In June, Schuermans told Tech in Asia that the company aims to achieve profitability by the second half of 2024.
Founded in 2022, Baskit’s clients comprise wholesalers, distributors, and other supply chain intermediaries, primarily in the fast-moving consumer goods space. It aims to streamline operations through a platform that provides features such as logistics support and order visibility.
In the B2B ecommerce sector, Baskit competes with companies such as Sirclo, Awantunai, and NFrnds.
