This could end badly. (via Apple)
Early this morning, Apple announced its next-gen iPhone, the iPhone 4S. For people expecting an iPhone 5, this was a little disappointing; for people in China, it was a little more disappointing. Sina’s Weibo microblogging service explodes any time Apple announces or launches a new product, and today is no different — there are already more than 32 million Weibo posts about the 4S. That may not be great news for Apple, though. Here’s a selection of translated reactions from Weibo users.
“The iPhone 4S has been announced and counterfeit phone manufacturers are crying bitterly, ‘We all made iPhone 5s already, we’ve been tricked!'” (Source)
“Where’s the legendary water-drop model shape [referring to the back of the phone]? The four-inch screen? The seamless frame? Wait for the next generation of iPhone. The best product is always the next one. Actually, the iPhone 4S is pretty badass, but everyone was expecting too much, so it’s hard to avoid being disappointed.” (Source)
“The announcement of the iPhone 4S means we have to wait until next year for the iPhone 5! ~~~~~~

“Today when I went out I heard lots of discussions about how the iPhone 5 didn’t come out and instead they’re releasing an iPhone 4S. Looks like there are quite a few disappointed people out there!” (Source)
“The iPhone 4S is really disappointing. But everyone’s expectations were very high; that naturally put quite a lot of pressure on Apple.” (Source)
