1. FintechLabs | India
FintechLabs is a startup that helps companies create their own peer-to-peer (P2P) lending sites. It’s main product, an API-based software, includes services like bank statement analysis – a quick way to read through a customer’s bank statements and figure out their financial behavior – and loan management – a module that tracks the status of all loans.
2. Funding Societies | Singapore (Startup Profile)
Funding Societies is a marketplace in which businesses can raise loans from the public. Since starting in June 2015, the startup has provided over US$6.33 million in loans to 100 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore.
3. MangoPlate | South Korea (Startup Profile)
MangoPlateis like the Yelp for Korea, blending food reviews, ratings, and content. In an effort to build trust, the startup doesn’t charge users any money nor does it take any from restaurant owners. That’s an important method of distinguishing itself from competing services, which haven’t really taken off because of a failure to engender loyalty.
4. Raksul | Japan (Startup Profile)
Online printing service Raksul doesn’t actually own any printers. It connects users with printing companies across Japan and takes a cut of each job done.
5. Juggernaut Books | India (Startup Profile)
Launched on Android four months ago with 100 titles, Juggernaut Books is not just a book-reading app. The founders are hoping to create an Indian publishing company that redefines reading and writing for the digital age.
6. Tricog Health Services | India (Startup Profile)
Bangalore-based healthtech startup Tricog Health Services installs a cloud-connected electrocardiogram (ECG) in primary and secondary care medical centers – clinics, polyclinics, hospitals, and nursing home. When a doctor takes a patient’s ECG, the information gets sent via cloud to a hub where qualified experts are available at all hours. The specialist sends his or her evaluation to the patient’s doctor via SMS and a message on the startup’s mobile app.
7. Alodokter | Indonesia (Startup Profile)
