Indonesia-based Nida Rooms works with existing budget hotels by locking in a certain amount of rooms to be dedicated exclusively to them and promises all travelers get “12 hours’ night sleep”.
2. The Bridge | Japan (Startup Profile)
Founded in 2010 as Startup Dating and rebranded to The Bridge in 2013, the bilingual (Japanese and English) website offers technology and startup news with a strong focus on the domestic market. The online media startup also hosts a number of meetups around Japan, including bi-monthly startup demo days.
3. Yellow Messenger | India (Startup Profile)
Yellow Messenger, a chat-powered online marketplace, allows users to search for products and services based on location. The app customizes each user’s experience based on his or her search history. People can also narrow their searches by parameters, including product, color, and price. A chatting function, similar to that of Whatsapp or Facebook Messenger, allows customers to talk to store partners and ask them questions.
4. RingMD | Singapore
RingMD helps facilitate online patient-doctor consultation. The platform allows people to access doctors from anywhere in the world through videoconferencing, either via its site or a smartphone app. There’s a large repository of doctors which patients can seek advice from, doing away with geographical limitations.
5. Bfab | Malaysia
Malaysian startup Bfab which stands for “be fabulous,” offers real-time, 24/7 booking of salons and beauty professionals by people who want hair, massage, spa, nail, waxing, and makeup services. It provides an extensive list of salons in Klang Valley and allow users to compare prices and rate the services. It also has a real-time booking ability.
6. Xfers | Singapore (Startup Profile)
Online peer-to-peer payments startup Xfers services include wallet as a service, payments collection, user generated payment links, and ecommerce plugins for sellers and buyers.
