These 4 edtech startups exhibiting at TIA Jakarta 2018 are changing the way we learn

Advancements in tech in the past decade have revolutionized the way we learn. Instead of being constrained to a physical classroom setting, we are now able to tap on a wealth of information through online courses and learn at the comfort of our homes.

Next week on October 23 & 24, four education startups looking to shake up the way we learn will be exhibiting at Tech in Asia Jakarta 2018’s Startup Factory. Read on below to find out more about them!

1) Scola

 
A physical classroom doesn’t have to be the only place to learn. Scola provides a virtual environment that has rich resources, resembling both a library and a learning space to provide for your learning needs. It has an interactive user-friendly interface that increases your attention span, making learning more engaging.

Scola also uses AI to help students with their development and learning analysis. In addition, parents are able to monitor their children’s progress and activity in the platform. As long as there’s internet connection, teachers, students and parents are able to access Scola’s learning resources due to the use of cloud storage.

2) Inspira Academy

 
Whether you enjoy learning something new through a hands-on session or through a virtual platform, Inspira Academy can provide for your needs. Their curriculum focuses heavily on getting students ready for STEM pursuits, 3D creation and robotics. Expect to find courses on innovation, design and programming. They have both an e-learning platform as well as a physical multi-purpose innovation center.

3) Koding Next

 
The future has a place for those who code, and Koding Next recognises that. It started with only 19 students in January 2017, and has more than 500 students on board today. There are programming lessons catered to each age group, with courses for children starting from the age of four. If you want to start your child early on a technological track, Koding Next is the place to be.

4) Algoritma

 
If you’re curious about big data analysis and engineering, then data science will certainly pique your interest. At Algoritma, you’ll get to learn about data visualization and machine learning in-depth by deep diving into specific topics, such as machine learning, neural network and deep learning. On top of demo and presentations, you’ll get to develop your skills through hands-on coding and working through examples.
