You can now create your own iAd ads. Apple has released its iAd Producer for developers to meddle and learn how to create these rich media ads.
These ads, as explained during its launch, possess the emotional aspect of TV and interactivity of web flash ads.
iAd Producer is available free to paid developers. Otherwise, you would have to enroll to the iOS Developer Program at $99/year.
“iAd Producer makes it easy for you to design and assemble high-impact, interactive content for iAd. iAd Producer automatically manages the HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript behind your iAd to make creating beautiful, motion-rich iAd content as easy as point and click,” explained Apple.
“For advanced developers, iAd Producer offers sophisticated JavaScript editing and debugging, along with a powerful extension mechanism that enables them to create and re-use their own page templates and components.”
The iPhone and iPad wave is up and rising. Munster predicted that Apple could hit $200 billion sales by 2015; much of it would be powered by the iPhones and iPads. If Munster’s prediction were to be true, the iAd is certainly a lucrative market for developers to venture into. Millions of iPhones and iPads are hungry for these ads. I’m also sure many advertisers are interested to explore this new mobile advertising platform.
