6 startups from Indonesia got into Google’s second Launchpad

Google recruited the second batch of startups into its Launchpad accelerator program. It announced on Wednesday the names of six startups from Indonesia that made the cut, along with startups from Brazil, India, and Mexico.
The first set of young tech companies picked for the Launchpad started the program in January.
In June, the second round begins and will require representatives from each startup to travel to Mountain View, California, to participate in a two-week “bootcamp.” The mentorship continues remotely for six months after the startups return to their respective home countries.

HijUp

HijUp is an ecommerce site for Muslim fashion. It was started in 2011 by Diajeng Lestari, who happens to be the wife of another Indonesian ecommerce entrepreneur, Bukalapak’s CEO Achmad Zaky.
With two million monthly page views and funding from 500 Startups and Indonesian media group Emtek, among others, HiJup has proven traction.

Talenta

Talenta is a software-as-a-service startup that created a human resources management system. It makes it easier for companies to manage their employees salaries, leave, and tax statements. Talenta is used by other tech companies, like Grab and Qraved.
