Startup accelerator Antler injects $2.4m into second batch of startups

Startup accelerator and early-stage venture capital firm Antler invested US$2.4 million into its second cohort of startups from Singapore.

It also held its second Singapore demo day, which saw more than 500 investors, VCs, and people from the regional startup ecosystem in attendance.

The new startups, which focus on enterprise, telecommunications, fintech, and consumer technology, among others, include:

• Sama, a startup that operates a platform that matches workers with jobs overseas, starting with the construction industry
• Eskwelabs, an online education platform that focuses on producing job-ready students
• Base, a digital direct-to-consumer skincare platform from Indonesia that specializes in personalization
• Hodlnaut, a platform that lets investors lend cryptocurrencies to margin traders
• Soma Sketch, a platform that allows users to write and draw how their body feels
• Zvook, a smart platform that matches podcasts with brands
• Airalo, a startup that looks to ease access to eSIMs
• Bubays, an Indonesian startup that provides baby food delivery service focused on personalization
• Fast Science, a company that leverages AI and machine learning to simplify and summarize patents and research papers
• Xanpool, a startup that provides an automated peer-to-peer, crypto-to-fiat platform
• Qashier, a point-of-sale solutions provider that aims to help small merchants digitize their businesses
• Journify, a platform that connects millennials to health coaches, nutritionists, and life and performance coaches
• Torre.ai, a startup that democratizes retail investor access to alternative investment opportunities
• Fiwi Market, an online wholesale marketplace that looks to build the largest network of independent retailers
• Mattrvest, a startup that provides financial education and planning through chatbots
• Maic, an AI-powered app and web platform that provides management tools for construction site operators
• Ask Dee Dee, a platform that combines telehealth, symptom diagnosis, and a health tracker focused on women’s sexual and mental health needs

Founded in 2017, Antler claims to have generated 44 new tech companies in a range of industries from Southeast Asia and the Nordics since its first program in Singapore last year.
