Amobee, a leading mobile advertising company based out of California, announced a partnership with MCM Group, a digital media and marketing company in Indonesia. MCM will use Amobee’s mobile advertising platform PULSE for advertisers and publishers in Indonesia.
As some of you may already know, Amobee opened its Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore back in June of this year, in order to help the company grow in the region. And this partnership with MCM is a great step for its business in Indonesia, as recently appointed APAC vice president Grant Watts explains:
No one understands how to reach Indonesian mobile users better than MCM … With Amobee PULSE for Advertisers and Amobee PULSE for Publishers, MCM will be able to bring value to the entire mobile advertising ecosystem, and deliver highly relevant and immersive mobile ads to Indonesian mobile phone users.
Amobee also just announced that it will work with Ambient Digital, the largest mobile ad network in Vietnam, as CEO Trevor Healy aims to exploit South East Asian markets that he says have been overlooked by Silicon Valley companies in favor of China and India.
Healy spoke with CNBC Asia in Singapore about mobile advertising in Asia (see below). He noted that the region’s younger demographic, where users’ first internet experience might be a mobile one, does not have to unlearn habits that they may have picked up on a PC.
In other advertising news in Asia today, Japan’s Mediba is also branching out, striking a partnership with Australia’s Leadbolt. In addition, ad giant Ogilvy picked up long-time China partner Nanjing Yindu in an acquisition announced this afternoon.
