Singapore-based Antler has said it is gunning to participate in 100 investment deals in the region this year.

The company said that its portfolio firms raised over US$400 million globally in 2022, when it funded over 72 companies in verticals like ecommerce, SaaS, fintech, and logistics.

Antler is looking to set aside US$100 million for new investments in Southeast Asia over the coming years, with roughly 40% of that amount reserved for Indonesia, said Jussi Salovaara, Anter co-founder and managing partner, in an interview with the Business Times.

Antler also shared that it saw over 9,000 individuals apply for its Antler founder program in Southeast Asia last year, up from 7,000 in 2021. The firm has offices in 25 cities, including Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh, Seoul, Tokyo, and Sydney.

“This growth reflects Southeast Asia as a rapidly expanding digital market and a fertile ground for innovations, while also establishing Antler as a preferred destination for entrepreneurs to launch their startups,” the company said in a statement.
