Alipay-backed Chope names ex-Huawei exec as CTO
Singapore-based food and beverage firm Chope announced the appointment of Rufus Jiang as chief technology officer (CTO).
Experience:
- Jiang was a senior director of engineering at Huawei where he developed DevOps tools, cloud security solutions, and microservice-based cloud applications.
- He was also a software development manager at Amazon and a senior engineering manager at Microsoft, where he worked for 18 years.
More details:
- Jiang joins Chope after the company received US$15 million from Alipay in August as part of a partnership deal.
- At Chope, the newly appointed CTO is expected to boost the firm’s talent training and acquisition efforts, while carrying out technology, data, and engineering responsibilities.
