Fimela.com is a web portal dedicated solely to Indonesia’s modern, tech-savvy, and mobile women who want a combo of news, fashion, and family tips. Just in time for its first birthday, Fimela is holding FimelaFest from November 25 to 27 at Jakarta’s Grand Indonesia East Mall (Level One).
The FimelaFest – short for ‘Fimela Festival’ – promises to be a three-day women empowerment and lifestyle experience. Starting tomorrow, there will be a lots of activities such as an indoor flea market (with, of course, discounts), workshops about fashion, advice on careers, health, and parenting, and also an inspiring talkshow about life and sex. On the sidelines, there’ll be entertainment and fun activities for your kids.
Great music by famous bands such as Maliq, and D’Essentials, and the celebrity talkshow are the main selling points of this huge promo event. Fimela is also actively promoting #read2share, an initiative for “Spreading Good Things Through Reading” that has been going for a few weeks already. #Read2Share is an online social campaign to encourage and promote the culture and love of reading through social media.
The web portal itself is having a great first year – up to November 2011 it has had 3.2 million pageviews, 420,000 viewers, and 373,000 uniques with 8.35 minutes of reading time per visit and 9.2 pages at least per visit. All those stats were shared by Nuniek Tirta, the community manager at Fimela. Not to mention it won the prestigious Bubu Awards this summer. So, happy first birthday Fimela.com!
