We have so far written about Indonesia’s IDBYTE Conference with a live blog on Facebook in Indonesia and another post on eBay’s perspective of the e-commerce market (more will come soon as we tidy our notes).
To sum it all up, the seventh Bubu Awards was held yesterday night; an event that celebrated tech, design, and entrepreneurship in Indonesia.
KADIN
At the awards, KADIN, which stands for Kamar Dagang Indonesia (Indonesia Trade Chamber) said that it will continue to support the ICT industry in Indonesia, and this includes plans to increase the number of Internet users in the country. They also applauded Shinta Dhanuwardoyo, or more well known as Shinta Bubu, for consistently holding the Bubu Awards year after year.

Event Stats
Shinta shared some pretty impressive stats about IDBYTE. In the last three days, the IDBYTE Workshops were attended by about 1,500 people. For the IDBYTE Conference and Bubu Awards, 1,000 people and 500 people attended, respectively.
As Shinta said, Indonesia isn’t just a digital consumer. It can also be a country that creates and produces innovative tech products for the world.
