In brief: Indonesia’s Venturra Capital launches $15m seed fund
Venturra Capital’s new seed arm, Venturra Discovery was launched. The new fund is planning to invest in 30 to 40 startups over the next four years, with check sizes ranging from US$200,000 to US$500,000. To date, Venturra Discovery has backed three companies.

Launched in 2015, Venturra Capital has funded 22 startups in five Southeast Asian countries. Prominent ones include Grab, Carro, iPrice, and Zilingo. Venturra Discovery’s partners are John Riady, whose family owns Lippo Group; Rudy Ramawy, who was previously country director of Google Indonesia; and Raditya Pramana, formerly an associate with IMJ Investment Partners.
