Zi.Care, an Indonesia-based healthtech startup, has bagged US$500,000 in seed funding from accelerator Iterative VC as well as Choco-Up, a revenue-based financing platform based in Hong Kong, and Tinc, a corporate accelerator program backed by Telkomsel Mitra Inovasi.
The annnouncement comes after Zi.Care was named as one of the 10 firms shortlisted for Iterative’s summer 2021 cohort.

Founded in 2017, Zi.Care digitizes patients’ medical and health records then stores them on its cloud-based platform. The solution can increase accuracy in medical records while reducing waiting times and administrative processes in Indonesian healthcare facilities, the company said in a statement.
Zi.Care was established by Jessy Abdurrahman, Sanjaya Mayluddin, and Jodi Susanto. The trio has experience in building information systems for prominent companies in health, technology, mining, and banking industries.
Budi Wiweko, vice chairman of Indonesian Medical Research Institute, also joined the startup as an advisor. He has conducted research on the adoption of electronic medical records.
Zi.Care plans to use the fresh funds to onboard more hospitals and clinics, expand its product range, and engage with more corporate partners.
