Singapore’s Top Fintech Companies: 95 stand out from over 500
It’s no secret that Southeast Asia is currently facing a funding lull. Yet fintech in Singapore remains a bright spot.
Out of the 10 largest deals in tech over the past 12 months, three have gone to fintech players that are headquartered in the city-state and serve its residents.
These firms – Atome, Thunes, and Funding Societies – have another thing in common: They’ve all made it to the first-ever list of Singapore’s Top Fintech Companies, curated by Tech in Asia and Statista, a leading international provider of market and consumer data and rankings.

For this award, we’ve shortlisted 95 firms from an initial pool of over 500. They cover the following categories:
- Alternative Financing
- Digital Assets
- Enterprise Fintech
- Payments
- Insurtech
- Neobanking
- Wealth Technology
This list includes a mix of startups, SMEs, and corporations based on a set of criteria such as reputation, financial figures, and growth rates.
We’ve also combined our access to financial data and local knowledge with Statista’s tried-and-tested methodology. We’ve tapped into the Singapore Fintech Association’s network as well.
Fintech isn’t the flashiest tech sector. In fact, it prides itself on being boring, predictable, and compliant.
That’s no issue – customers want one thing from financial services: reliability. This applies to companies bringing digital payments to everyone, making credit more accessible, or building new blockchain payment rails. Any system failure or investor exodus makes headlines.
Which is why, through this initiative, we want to spotlight the companies nudging finance forward – not only when there’s bad news.
