Analyse Asia on Tech In Asia

    horizontal-5

Long before the days before my new podcast Analyse Asia, my former startup SGEntrepreneurs.com was acquired by Tech in Asia. Upon penning a single and short email to Willis Wee, the founder of Tech In Asia, he has generously offered to allow me distribute the Analyse Asia content on TIA.

Starting this week, I will be guest posting every episode of Analyse Asia into Tech in Asia, starting from episode 43. Both Willis and I firmly believe in bringing the best content in Asia through the TIA platform and hope to support the global community in understanding Asia better. In this introductory post, we have placed earlier episodes and you can listen to them here.

The primary goal of Analyse Asia is to produce a high quality podcast which discusses, dissects and deeply dives into business, technology and media in Asia, made in Asia by people who are involved in the day to day of their respective ecosystems.

Given the vast landscape of possibilities, we focus on people with a deep understanding of his or her own respective country and ecosystem or who have been observing the trends and movement in Asia from the outside. After all, Asia has a total population of 4.4 billion, represent two thirds of the world population and housed three of the five major emerging markets (China, India and Indonesia).

The idea is to cover interesting trends in business, technology and media in Asia through three channels:

    (a) Industry watchers or correspondents from media who cover Asia as a whole, for example, we have Charlie Custer and Dave Corbin from Tech in Asia, Bryan Ma from IDC, Jon Russell & Catherine Shu from Techcrunch on the show.

    (b) Business leaders within the technology or media industry who are operating within Asia, for example, Aliza Knox from Twitter and JJ Chai from Airbnb.

    (c) Important thought leaders coming from both startup, investor and business ecosystems, for example, Hans Tung from GGV Capital, Ben Bajarin of Creative Strategies and Horace Dediu of Asymco.com.

We thank our friends from Tech in Asia in offering us the opportunity to do this.
