Project Aces’ first free-to-play game in its flight sim series, Ace Combat Infinity, is set to enter the open beta testing phase via the PlayStation Network on February 5, 2014. All players who participate in the open beta will get the following specialized emblem once the game is released.
Ace Combat Infinity is the third installment of the Ace Combat series and is the first one to be a digital-only release. The game lets you play as a fighter pilot under the call sign ‘Reaper’ tasked to help defend the world against terrorist threats.
Aside from new scenarios for the single player campaign mode, the game also introduces the Online Co-Op Missions Mode where two four-man teams work together to complete special missions. Completing Co-Op Missions will give players rewards, which they can use to buy new fighter jets or improve their current ones. Here’s a gameplay trailer of the new Co-Op Missions Mode:
