Many international companies that establish their regional headquarters in Singapore have traditionally put more emphasis on sales and marketing functions for their market expansion teams, and leave the engineering to their other offices in places like Mountain View or Hyderabad. Of course, it doesn’t help in the first place that hiring engineers here is difficult. However, we see a shift in this.
The following seven companies have hundreds of open positions in all engineering functions. Google and Acronis, for example, are hiring aggressively to fuel their R&D centres based in Singapore, while VISA is recruiting engineers for its newly opened innovation centre.
