Remember that really cool gaming PC from Razer that was on display at CES back in January? The one that had the trippy keyboard that changes to suit the game you’re playing? Well, it looks like Chinese gamers will be the first to get their hands on this one, as Tencent has reached a deal to bring Razer’s Switchblade to China.
While consumers have grown accustomed to seeing the fanciest hardware hit the US first, dropping the Switchblade in China certainly makes sense for Razer. The country has an online gaming population of no less than 304 million and Tencent’s own QQ boasts a userbase of about 637 million. No word just yet on any specific date for the Switchblade to launch in China.
The compact gaming PC is a Windows 7 box measuring in at a diminutive 172 x 115 x 25mm. Check out the promo video below that started all the buzz earlier this year.
This is the second hardware deal for Tencent that we’ve reported on in as many weeks. The company has also reportedly signed a deal with ASUS to produce a QQ EeePad.
