Medinfi, a startup that helps people find and review doctors nearby, has raised US$200,000 in angel funding from investors including Genpact senior vice president Mudit Saxena and Singaporean angel investor Evan Lim.

Existing investors, including former Bajaj Allianz General Insurance CEO Hemant Kaul and Dr. Ram Kumar Kakani, professor at the Xavier School of Management (XLRI), also participated in the round.

The startup will put the money toward adding 38 cities to the 12 it’s currently active in. It also has plans to expand into Southeast Asia, particularly Singapore, founded and CEO Ravi Shankar Mishra said.

Medinfi is currently available for Android, and the company plans to release an iOS version of the app by the end of the year. It currently has 50,000 active users and has a feature that helps people keep track of their elderly parents’ help.

Bangalore-based GoCoop Solutions and Services is an online marketplace for co-operatives and community-based weavers and artisans, and it’s just raised its series A funding round. The round was led by Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan, Saha Fund, and existing investors. The amount of the investment was undisclosed.

The company earlier raised seed funding from Unitus Seed Fund and the Indian Angel Network, led by Naga Prakasam.

Founded by Siva Devireddy in 2011, GoCoop uses software to connect buyers and co-operatives without middlemen, who can raise prices for buyers and keep artisans for being paid enough for their work. The startup has over 250 cooperatives on its portal and has a presence in 40 craft clusters. It plans to expand to over 100 craft clusters across India in the next two years.

AppSay

AppSay, a business communication portal, has raised US$150,000 in its first funding round from Venture Catalysts. The round was led by angel investors Shreyans Shah and Mayank Shah.
