Want to Uber out your car for a couple days when you’re out of town? A Google Launchpad-backed startup just got more funding to make that happen. Meanwhile, an online marketplace secured an investment to help take your small business to the top, and a ticketing website and an online fan engagement service found love in a sweet, sweet partnership. Peruse these businesses that are worth singing about.

Self-drive car rental portal JustRide has raised US$400,000 in a pre-series A round from a group of angel investors, including Dheeraj Jain, partner at Redcliffe Capital.

Founded by Hemant Sah, Vasant Verma, Abhishek Mahajan, and Amit Sah in April 2015, the mostly mobile startup offers cars for rent. The cars either come from people renting their own cars out on the platform or from agency partners that conduct business in partnership with JustRide. The company delivers cars to people’s doorsteps. Alternatively, customers can pick up their cars from a JustRide location.

A member of Google Launchpad’s current class of startup mentees, the company is active in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, and Delhi. It has partnered with Uber so its cars can be used on the ride-sharing app. The funding will be used to expand its technology.

Online entertainment ticketing startup BookMyShow has acquired a majority stake in Chennai-based fan relationship management solutions provider Fantain.

The relationship will allow BookMyShow to gain insights on fans, while Fantain can use BookMyShow to enhance and expand its fan insights portfolio in the entertainment business.

Founded in 2007 by Ashish Hemrajani, Parikshit Dar and Rajesh Balpande, BookMyShow is owned by Bigtree Entertainment and offers tickets to movies, plays, sports, and other events. Users can filter their results by event language.

IT professionals Anand Ramachandran, Vivek Venugopalan, and Aravind Ramachandran founded Fantain in 2013. The company caters to sports businesses in India, offering fan insights and engagement solutions.
