The event is quite different from other competitions that focus on web start-ups and social media. INAICTA is a place for Indonesian information and technology innovators to show their talent — ranging from mobile applications and digital animation to robot design. The conference will be attended by many of Indonesia’s ICT stakeholders, including the government, educational institutions, and business entities.
This year’s theme is “Leverage Digital Creativity for National Economic Growth,” and it signals a call for Indonesia’s communication and technology players to get involved in improving the country’s economy. The conference has the full support of the Department of Communications and Information, and all participants’ products and services are expected to drive economic growth throughout Indonesia.
There are 28 competition categories subdivided into professional (16 categories) and student (12 categories) sections. Due to the great enthusiasm for the event’s Facebook page and Twitter account, the committee has decided to extend registration until August 15. According to the event schedule, the INAICTA 2011 conference and awards ceremony will be held on October 4th and 5th.
