SolarEdge beats revenue estimates despite Q4 loss
SolarEdge reported a fourth-quarter loss of US$3.52 per share, exceeding analysts’ expected US$1.66 loss.
The company generated US$25.5 million in positive cash flow, a sharp improvement from a US$180 million loss in 2023.
Revenue reached US$196 million, slightly beating forecasts but down 17% year-over-year.
SolarEdge cut operating expenses by US$10 million to US$106 million in Q4 and expects further reductions to US$98 million–US$103 million in Q1 2025.
Following two years of inventory challenges, SolarEdge restructured its leadership and closed its South Korean energy storage division to cut costs.
