Elon Musk’s AI company, xAI, has raised US$6 billion in its latest funding round, according to a filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

A total of 97 investors participated, each contributing a minimum of US$77,593, although their identities are not public.

Reportedly involved investors include firms such as Andreessen Horowitz, BlackRock, Fidelity, Nvidia, AMD, Morgan Stanley, and Sequoia Capital.

This new funding boosts xAI’s total capital raised to US$12 billion.

The company aims to compete with major AI firms like OpenAI and Anthropic.
