Liang Wenfeng, the founder of DeepSeek, has announced the launch of their another open-source AI model, Janus-Pro-7B.

This multimodal model, capable of generating images, is reported to outperform competitors such as OpenAI’s DALL-E 3 and Stable Diffusion in the GenEval and DPG-Bench benchmarks.

The launch positions Janus-Pro-7B as a notable entry in the generative AI market.
