Binance not for sale, may accept minority investors
Changpeng Zhao, founder and former CEO of Binance, announced on social media that the exchange is not for sale but may allow minority investments in the future.
These investments would likely be in the range of single-digit percentages.
Zhao added that “Top investors have always been interested in Binance,” suggesting small-scale investments could happen over time.
Yi He, Binance’s co-founder, echoed Zhao’s statement, highlighting that the exchange regularly receives inquiries from potential investors and is open to mergers and acquisitions.
Zhao, who recently completed a four-month prison sentence in the US related to money laundering charges, is now active in YZi Labs, an investment-focused entity previously known as Binance Labs.
Despite the challenges, Binance remains the largest cryptocurrency exchange globally by trading volume.
