Apple’s AI platform, Apple Intelligence, will support eight additional languages starting in April 2025. These language include French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and simplified Chinese

The announcement was made by CEO Tim Cook during the company’s Q4 2024 earnings call on Jan. 30.

This expansion follows the initial 2024 release, which supported only US English.

In December, Apple extended support to localized English variants for Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK, along with tailored versions for India and Singapore.

The company has not announced plans to expand Apple Intelligence to the European Union or Mainland China.

Apple is also working on an updated version of Siri to improve its understanding of on-screen context, which is expected in the coming months.
