Xpeng flying car unit Aeroht plans HK IPO: sources

Xpeng has hired JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley to help with an IPO of its flying car unit, Xpeng Aeroht, in Hong Kong, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The Chinese EV maker is preparing for a potential listing that could take place as early as 2026, though plans may still change.

Xpeng Aeroht, rebranded internationally as Aridge, operates a 120,000-square-meter factory in Guangzhou and plans to deliver its first mass-produced flying vehicle by late 2026.

The unit is part-owned by Xpeng and its CEO He Xiaopeng, and previously raised US$150 million in 2024.
