A couple of months ago, rumor was spreading that XL, one of the the largest telco companies in Indonesia might offer the iPhone 4.
The rumor is now confirmed as XL has announced its iPhone 4 packages on its website today.
Starting 22 April, Apple fans in Indonesia will be able to purchase iPhone 4 coupled with XL services:

However, XL isn’t the first to offer the iPhone 4 in Indonesia. Telkomsel made the phone available as early as 17 December last year, 4 months earlier than XL. For easy price comparison, we have also included Telkomsel’s iPhone 4 price table.
In general, XL provides cheaper iPhone devices while Telkomsel provides cheaper monthly plan. It isn’t rocket science to know which telco provides a better deal. Paying an additional $4 for XL’s Plan 1, consumers would be able to enjoy twice the amount of free data and 150 minutes of free call time: All these at a lower iPhone 4 price.
The competition has somehow become a price war between the two telcos. It’s certainly great news for the consumers.
