Founded by Raj Saunder in 2014, Wootag helps brands and ad agencies create “clickable” videos that can redirect viewers to a website or a particular page. Video makers can then put in-video interactions at any point in the video, which include purchases, sign-ups, polls, and product catalogs.
In a statement, the company said its revenue has quadrupled in the past three years and that it has maintained profitability. It currently has more than 250 brands from 13 countries as its clients and claims it has helped them achieve more than a 3x surge in customer engagement.
This year, the firm launched Wootag Signal, which offers insights – like weather conditions and upcoming sports matches – that can help marketers create marketing messages.
Wootag plans to use the fresh funding to scale its expansion in Asia Pacific.
