The best game at G-Star was this Diablo-Starcraft mash-up

wild buster

WildBuster is a game best described as Diablo meets Starcraft, and it looks like it’s going to be as awesome a mash-up like that could possibly get.

First reported by MMO Culture in 2012, WildBuster is a sci-fi action MMORPG for the PC three years in the making. It was first conceptualized nearly six years ago, but only went into development after developer Star Ducks studio was acquired by South Korea’s Nuri Telecom.

The game utilizes an isometric view and has 26 playable characters, each one named after a letter of the alphabet. The free-to-play game will be monetized through cash items, and makes use of a lobby system to help players find teams. It’s being developed on Unity.

Most importantly, however, WildBuster looks amazing. It’s everything that a Diablo and Starcraft mash-up could be. It will feature two factions – the Guardians and the Abandon – with each faction centred around different play styles. The Guardians will focus more on cooperative and supportive play, while Abandon characters will be more individualistic, with a focus on the survival of the fittest.
