An actual crystal ball might not exist, but it’s always fun to try and make predictions to see if they’ll come true.
Personally, I’ve only got one prediction to care about: I’ll finally win something in Toto, the national lottery in Singapore. That, and the next season of Jujutsu Kaisen will come out at the end of this year. One can only pray.

Reading through this article, I found it interesting that most, if not all, of the predictions for VC firms this year are rather positive. Then again, no one likes a pessimist.
- We are so back: The first prediction is that the second half of the year will see more VC activity with IPOs picking up. VC firms will get to realize some returns and raise more capital down the line.
- Web3 rebounds: Lee believes that the Web3 sector will make a comeback, following the momentum driven by bitcoin’s new all-time high price.
- It’s (not) the end: He also thinks that even though Donald Trump could pose a risk for climate change advocates, the climate tech sector still has lots of opportunities. It’s been seeing strong compound annual growth rates over the past decade, and there are many new climate-specific funds in the region.
