Nintendo’s stock price has exploded since Pokemon Go was launched earlier this month. After more than doubling in value thanks to the smash-hit game, Nintendo moments ago surpassed Sony in value.
At close of Tuesday trading in Tokyo, Nintendo is now valued at US$42.45 billion while Sony, maker of the popular PlayStation console, is at US$38.59 billion.
