Things were a bit slower this past week, but like last week, 3DS games destroyed the competition and took up seven of the top ten spots. Of the 249,439 games sold between this top ten list, 212,562 of them were 3DS games. That’s a little over 85%. Well done, 3DS! Who says Nintendo is dying?
What’s not surprising is the noticeable decline of games sold this week compared to last. Kirby Tripple Deluxe saw its release last week and with it a whopping 225,448 copies were sold. That’s nearly the amount of the entire top ten put together this week, which didn’t see any major releases, so Kirby still takes the number one spot with 85,007 copies sold. With the release of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z set for today, though, I’m guessing Kirby is about to be dethroned.
