Neowiz will publish Project OG, South Korea's glorious golf game

South Korean developer Golfzon’s Project OG has been on golf game fans’ radar for a while, especially since the trailer (embedded below) came out last year. And while we’re still not sure exactly when the game is coming to Korea, let alone the rest of the world, the developers now have some big-time backing, as Korean publisher Neowiz announced on Monday that it will distribute the game.

Project OG is an online golf simulation game that, as the trailer above shows, is not particularly concerned with realism. The game is built with CryEngine 3 — that’s why it looks so nice — and it looks like it will eschew the whole boring “golfing on carefully kept courses” approach, and instead let you smash golf balls around all kinds of environments, including in snow and desert sand.

And, as is the case in many Korean games, it looks like you’ll have your choice of playing as a buxom long-legged lady or a handsome dude with strange clothes and an inadvisable haircut. Sign me up!

(That might have sounded sarcastic but it’s not; I really am looking forward to this game).
