Hello readers,

PatSnap’s series E funding round made headlines this week, as the US$300 million capital injection landed the Singapore-based startup a spot in the unicorn club.

Tech in Asia has been following PatSnap since the firm raised its series A more than a decade ago. Reading about the challenges its founders faced along the way made me especially happy to see them attain yet another milestone in their entrepreneurial journey.

I love hearing about the ups and downs of starting up, and I hope we see more stories like PatSnap’s in the near future, as the hard work that founders have put into their endeavors over the years starts paying off.

You can find all other important investment deals that happened in the last few days in our weekly funding news wrap-up.

Let’s dive into the biggest deals and M&As that recently took place.
