Wakfu Asia introduces Multimen, playable sidekicks for noobs like you and me
UPDATE 19-2-2014: Multimen are playable characters and are more like sidekicks than NPCs. We have updated the article accordingly.
People who have found Wakfu Asia too difficult to solo can now reconsider getting back into the game. The introduction of Multimen means that you can now quest with up to two playable sidekicks at your back.
There are up to six Multimen you can pick from, skilled in different elements or combat styles, and Ankama Asia is planning to allow a full week’s trial for each of them. The first Multiman on trial is Skale, a water element one. After that, a standard Multiman will cost around $15.80 in Ogrines, Wakfu’s in-game currency. The consolation for the relatively steep price is that you own him permanently.
Multimen can be controlled in battle, geared with the same equipment you are wearing, and will remain by your side even in a party, so it’s a pretty sweet deal for noobs like me who keep dying. If $15.80 is too steep for you, you can also pick up a free basic Multiman in the Astrub Knight, obtainable by completing a quest.
Multimen will go on sale in Wakfu Asia as they are revealed each week. All Multimen will cost the same, but a more cost-efficient bundle will be released at a later date, when all the Multimen are released for the server.
