Timeline of a bank run: What happened to Silicon Valley Bank?

Charts and visuals, only for subscribers

The collapse of Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) has caused reverberations across the startup and tech ecosystem. The effects of its closure will likely be felt for years.

Last week, the highly respected lender began selling off its holdings before US regulators shut down the bank and took control of its assets on Friday.

Notably, the bank’s CEO Greg Becker sold US$4 million in SVB shares days before the rating downgrade.
