Wholesale tea marketplace Tealet used this pitch deck to secure $240k in seed funding

ABOUT

Tealet is a Las Vegas-based tea wholesaler that connects independent tea growers to retail and wholesale buyers. Its network, which is mainly composed of family farms and cooperatives, is plugged directly into buyers in eight different countries and 15 regions.

The startup was established in 2012 when its founders Elyse Petersen and Jane Gonsowski pitched their idea at Startup Weekend Honolulu presented by Hawaii’s Social Wahines and Greenhouse Innovation Hub.

In 2014, Tealet used this pitch deck to secure US$240,000 in seed funding from seed-stage venture fund VTF Capital.

• Apart from its name, design-wise, the theme used for the deck represents Tealet’s business well. People could immediately notice that their business is related to tea.
