ABOUT

SphereEx is a database software company that helps enterprises link data and services, providing enhanced ecosystem-supporting data services.

The China-based firm, founded in 2021, built ShardingSphere, a “platform-based, pluggable, and cloud native” distributed middleware solution. It also has supporting products for its data management ecosystem.

SphereEx used this pitch deck to bag its pre-series A funding.

Fundraising journey

• 2021: Undisclosed amount of seed funding from Sequoia Capital and Chuxin Capital
• 2022: US$10 million of pre-series A funding in a round led by Vision Knight Capital, and joined by Sequoia Capital, Chuxin Capital Fund Partners, and Index Capital
