The theme of collaboration runs strong through Tech in Asia Studios, as our case studies and internal profiles show.
Whether we’re organizing events, developing content, or doing a mix of the two, we view each project as a chance for us and clients to help each other. This goes beyond business and money: For example, in line with our mission to build and serve Asia’s tech and startup community, we take on content partnerships that allow us to shed light on important-yet-untold stories and angles.
When we took our first step into Vietnam with Saigon Summit earlier this year, we needed partners to take the leap with us.

NTT was one company that saw the potential of a Tech in Asia event in Vietnam. The Japanese telecommunications firm signed up as a gold sponsor and secured a booth in a prime spot on the showfloor.
A fine first foray
With the primary goal of connecting with new businesses to gain leads, nurture potential partnerships, and promote its startup challenge – NTT’s decision to get a booth at Saigon Summit paid off as the event exceeded ticket sales targets.

Besides quantity, the event also succeeded in terms of the quality and – perhaps most importantly – suitability of participants relative to NTT’s goals. Out of the 800+ attendees at the venue, at least 70% of them have decision-making powers, such as C-suite executives, managers, and directors. Also, 46% were from startups – right in line with the company’s target audience.
In addition, NTT was able to tap into Tech in Asia’s regional network, with attendees coming from not just the local market but also other countries like Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
The telecom firm’s logo was featured prominently in event marketing efforts across Tech in Asia’s many channels as part of its sponsorship, giving NTT greater visibility and brand awareness.

At a glance:
Tech in Asia needed partners for its first event in Vietnam, and NTT needed an avenue to connect with new startups and potential partners. It was a collaboration that made sense every step of the way.
