UK-based fintech startup Revolut raised $2.3m in seed funding using the pitch deck

ABOUT
Founded in 2015 by Nik Storonsky and Vlad Yatsenko in London, Revolut is building a global financial super app. It offers solutions including cross-border remittances, peer-to-peer money transfers, insurance as well as savings and budgeting tools, among others.
The company claims to have over 10 million users worldwide and more than 60,000 users in Singapore.
In February this year, the company raised US$500 million in a series D funding round from equity firm TCV and was valued at US$5.5 billion. Since then, it has been looking to expand in the Asian market and opened remittance routes to India, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
Revolut used this deck to get US$2.3 million of its initial investment in 2015.
Fundraising journey
- 2015: US$2.3 million seed funding from Balderton Capital and Seedcamp.
- 2016: US$15 million series A led by Balderton Capital and followed by Seedcamp, Ribbit Capital, Index Ventures, Point Nine Capital, and Venrex Investment Management.
- 2017: US$66 million series B from Index Ventures, Balderton Capital, and Ribbit Capital.
- 2018: US$250 million series C led by DST Global, participated by Index Ventures and Ribbit Capital.
- February 2020: US$500 million series D led by TCV, participated by Ribbit Capital, DST Global, Lakestar, and GP Bullhound.
- July 2020: US$80 million series D+ from TSG Consumer Partners.

- It shows its marketing strategy and illustrates how it is different from its competitors.
